Music Career Coaching

Considering music as a full or part-time career? 

I don’t pretend to have all the answers, but I can help you think through the many options you have and choose the option that most engages you. I can also link you with people who will help you on your path.

There are three ways we can work together, all of which can be in-person, online, or a combination of both:

À la carte sessions are one-time 45-minute meetings to work on the many aspects of artist development and musicianship. This option is best usually for people who have completed a goal and are considering what to tackle next. Fee: $125. Limit one session per month.

Musician & Songwriting Coaching Packages give us more time to work together -- at a lower cost -- and are best for ongoing work to address specific goals. Fee: 4 sessions, $460; 8 sessions: $800, and 20 sessions: $1,850. Payment is due before services begin. 

Intensives are specialized programs that address a focal area over a minimum of 8 45-minute sessions. Fee: $800, paid up front; $100/session for additional work. Popular intensive topics include:

• Building Confidence

• Forming a band

• Working with Collaborators 

And if you want to boost your playing, I host periodic jam sessions, drop-in brainstorming or woodshedding “sprints,” for people wanting a spark for their most recent song or some inspiration for what to work on next.

Getting Started with Music Career Coaching

I use a two-step process to get your started with coaching and to make sure our work will meet your needs:

Step 1:  Initial consultation: This is a free “mini session” lasting 10-15 minutes, which gives us the chance to meet, discuss your goals, and answer your questions. 

Step 2: Goal-setting session: This is a 45-minute session to explore the specifics of where you are in your process and what you want to focus on in your next phase of growth. This session aligns your goals as a musician with our work together. We create a living document -- a road map -- that you can refer back to as you move forward. Fee: $125

One thing you need to become a successful musician is some stick-to-itiveness. No one can become a success on their own, so as part of our work together, I will continually be encouraging you to  plug into communities and networks that support your growth, whether that be groups of other musicians, songwriters, producers, engineers, media specialists, teachers or what have you.
